CLINTON, Iowa (KWQC) – Clinton is looking for FAB to make it’s riverfront more inviting. FAB, stands for Flower and Beautification. The Clinton Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Events Committee announced the new community project, which will utilize volunteers and a little a friendly competition to encourage stewardship of the flowerbeds along Clinton’s Riverview Dr..
Companies, groups and families are encouraged to adopt a planter or flower bed, as assigned by the committee. The CVB is working closely with the Clinton Department of Parks and Recreation to maximize time and resources. The flowers will be provided by the City of Clinton and the volunteer groups will get to arrange them and care for them during summer and fall.
Each month, from June through Sept., a prize of $50 of River City Gold will be awarded to the most attractive bed. Interested groups should call Carrie at the CVB at 563-242-5702 to be assigned a flower bed and learn additional details.
