SILVIS, ILL. (KWQC) – A pole that fell in Silivs, Illinois left close to 2,000 customers of MidAmerican Energy without power.
MidAmerican says the outage occurred at 3:41 p.m. when one of their poles caught fire and fell over.
They said power has been restored in more than 1,000 homes affected as of 4:10 p.m.
Currently there are more than 700 people without power in Silvis.
MidAmerican is still working on restoring power to those affected.
